Living in the Reality of the Resurrection
“The angel said…Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.” Matthew 28:5-6
Earlier this week - Monday in fact, I recognized the date as being the 29th anniversary of my receiving Christ as my savior and Lord! For 29 years I have been on a journey of transformation and change. As I am about to celebrate my 47th birthday next month (Yikes!) I realize that I have been a Christian longer than I had not been one.
This coming Sunday churches will be filled with people offering their annual acknowledgement of the resurrection of Christ. We must realize that that the empty tomb is something that affects our lives on a daily basis. The resurrection defines who we are and how we are to live as Christians. The very same spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in us as believers!
May we daily live a life worthy and reflective of the Reality of the Resurrection of Christ!
